Ug Decides2020|| Audio: Tumukunde Reveals Why He Joined Politics
Less than eight days for Uganda to decide its fate for the next five years, Retired Lt. General Henry Tumukunde revealed the reason as to why he joined politics.
The Renewed Uganda Presidential Candidate has said that he joined politics to help facilitate the peaceful transfer of power to the young people.
Tumukunde explains that Uganda’s future lies in the hands of the young people and therefore its time to prepare them to take over the leadership of this country after the current leaders.
Speaking to his supporters in Mayuge, Namayengo and Bugiri, Tumukunde, however, called on the voters especially the youth to vote for him on the 14th of this month because he is the only one who can foster this.
While in Mayuge, theRenewed Uganda platform presidential flag bearer retired Lt General Henry Tumukunde has promised to solve the problem of low sugarcane prices in Busoga region if elected president.
Speaking to the voters in Mayuge district, Tumukunde said farmers put in alot to grow the sugarcane and that it is unfair to be paid peanuts for their produce by the factories.
He blamed the low prices to incompetent leadership and asked the voters in this area to vote for change in the January polls so that they may bring an end to their woes.
