Bizarre: Ronald Mayinja Takes Off With Journalist’s Phone

The ‘Mzee akalulu’ hit maker, Ronald Mayinja is in hot soup following the case reported against him that he stole Observer newspaper reporter’s Mobile phone.

According to the tweet on Observer Newspaper twitter handle, their reporter in Yudaya Nangozi had a two-hour interview with the Musician at his home in Munyonyo.

But surprisingly after the interview, Mayinja made off with the reporter’s Mobile phone claiming that the audios recorded will land him in trouble with the sitting government.

The paper immediately reported the case of theft to Salama Road Police Station and they were given a reference number. SD:REF 29/7/1/2021

“After a 2hr-interview at his home in Munyonyo, musician Ronald Mayinja has made off with our reporter’s mobile phone. He claimed the audio recording was going to land him in trouble with the state. A case of phone theft SD:REF 29/7/1/2021 has been filed at Salama Road police stn” the tweet reads.

The following tweet showed that Observer newspaper demands for an immediate return of their reporter’s phone.

For starters, Ronald Mayinja was once in People Power movement but later crossed to the ruling party, National Resistance Movement, to which many of his supporter did not love the idea.
