Musician A Pass Condemns Police Brutality Against Presidential Candidate, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu
Musician Alexander Bagonza known by stage name, A Pass condemned excessive force Police used in blocking Presidential Candidate, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu from accessing his supporters in Mbale.
The ‘Dididada‘ hit maker via his official facebook page, asserted that he started realizing that the state and police are so sacred about the big support Kyagulanyi, his fellow musician is continuing to get from upcountry.
“Uganda Police Force these actions must stop 🛑 you can not be treating Bobi Wine a presidential candidate and his supporters like this but I now understand why you have to go through all this trouble to beat up NUP supporters and throw tear gas canisters in a presidential candidate’s car. You are so scared and intimidated by his support. #NzeNdowozaBatidde
Bagonza also asked Electoral Commission to come out and explain to Ugandans and the whole world about the acts of Uganda police and other security agencies.
“How shall we have free and fair elections with such things happening ??? The electoral commission needs to tell us exactly what this is because we don’t understand!!!!”
Yesterday Uganda police under the orders of ASP Asiimwe Abraham, blocked Kyagulanyi Ssentamu from entering Sironko District without giving clear reasons.
But it was worse when Kyagulanyi stormed Mbale, the police fired teargas to his supporters and his car.
The scuffle in Mbale town left many injured and its reported that one National Unity Platform supporter died.
Many public figures including opposition politics came out to condemn the bitter acts of Uganda police and other security agencies as Uganda heads towards a critical stage where Ugandans shall be deciding.
It’s not only Kyagulanyi, whom police is blocking from exercising his right as a presidential candidate, but also other candidates like Gen. Henry Tumukunde, Joseph Kabuleta, Norbert Mao and John Katumba.
However, the Incumbent President Museveni’s campaigning agents have been making processions with huge crowds under the watch of toothless police.
Today Kyagulanyi is in Mayuge, Bugiri and Iganga.
