Video: Bugerere Express Readiness Ahead Of Masaza Cup 2020 Edition

With less than 30 days to the commence of 2020 of the most prestigious football tournament in Uganda, Masaza Cup, counties have started serious preparations.

Among those is Bugerere Sazza who have expressed their readiness ahead of the final tourney.

In an exclusive interview with Voice of Bugerere on Sunday from their home ground in Kayunga, the Team’s head coach, Andy Ssali and captain Kasozi Juma assured their fans that they are extremely ready for the tournament and this COVID year is theirs to lift the title they have been yearning for.

“We have spent over two months in training camp, preparing our team, we have all our players, and its upon we coaches to select the 16, the Masaza Organizing committee requested.” Andy Ssali, head coach Bugerere in an exclusive interview with Voice of Bugerere.

“We are in group that has champions apart from us, but we are not scared because this will be an edition different from the past, we all affected by COVID, we are not going to have fans on ground but the special thing with us, we entered camp very early compared to them.

This gives me confidence that we are better than them.“

Being that the tournament will be held at an artificial turf in Njeru, Ssali is not moved by that challenge.

“You need to remember that as a coach, I have been in the playoffs at Njeru with Edgars FC. And eight of the players I have also have been there featuring in Catida and Edgars FC.

So the others shall go and get a feel of turf while holding different friendly games before the tournament.”

Bugerere signed a crop of new players including their current team captain, Kasozi Juma and goalkeeper Otim Arafat both from Ssingo Sazza.

Captain, in broad day light promised to Bugerere supporters that this is their year.

“This is the year Bugerere, is going to win the title, we are having nice preparations, good players, wonderful coaches, and organized management, so we promise you that as players we want to bring the title here.” Kasozi Juma

If nothing changes, Bugerere is in Masengere group, with Mawokota, Kooki and Kyadondo.

The tournament kicks off on 12th December, at Njeru Technical centre after the launch on 24th November 2020 at Bulange Gardens Mengo.
