Kayunga Decides2021: DP’s Wabuza Lydia Embarks On Door To Door Campaigns As Seeks For Woman Mp Seat
The Kayunga District Woman Member of Parliament seat sends candidates into a tense mode, some resorted to door to door campaign strategy.
The seat that has been in hands of an Incumbent Aidah Nantaba for the past 10 years, it has attracted six candidates who are competing for it.
Democratic Party flag bearer, Wabuza Lydia embarked on door to door campaign especially in scattered areas of Kayunga.
She confirmed this while speaking to this website.
“My campaigns are going on well though I decided to campaign door to door in most areas which are scattered.” Wabuza confirmed.
Like any other candidate, the DP flag bearer is optimistic that the victory is in her hands basing on the support she is tracing on ground.
The people of Kayunga are willing to support me they have seen that l’m solid woman who have clear message to the public and my integrity Worth put me as their number one choice and my long interaction with community gives much confidence as many say we’re ready to support our own being a DP candidate which produces competent leaders and Kayunga is ready for change they see me as their savior among the aspirants really however hears my messages appreciates and ready to give me full support.
Have clean background l’m not in battle with anyone and my emphasis is on sustainable development as a whole.” Lydia explains.
The 32year old Aspiring legislator is in competition with a 23-year old FDC candidate in Nakaddu Brendah, Incumbent and Independent, Aidah Erios Nantaba, NRM flag bearer Agatha Nalubwama, NUP’s Harriet Nakwedde and Jackie Birungi.
What Lydia is intending to do once she takes Power
Skilling activities for youths and empowering them to be self entrepreneurs, monitoring government projects.
Equity,fairness and equal opportunities in distribution and redistribution of resources, advocate and lobby for the people of Kayunga, empowering women in leadership training and boosting their small scale industries, looking for markets on agricultural produces within the area , making Kayunga district as an industrialized city by inviting investors to develop it and the government at Large , member communities will be the first priority in access of allocated jobs than the outside people, advocating policies on land issues.
Who is Wabuza Lydia
She is a 32 year old born of Busaale Kayunga District to the late Matia Batwala and Mrs Nadagire Rose resident of Kisawo.
Wabuza is a married woman with two children and aresident of Kisawo
The aspiring MP started her education journey in Busaale RC before joining Kayunga Mixed and Kayunga Girls where she sat her PLE.
For Ordinary level education, Lydia went to Uganda Marty’s SSS Kayunga in 2003 and it’s where she completed her O’ level and then joined St Maria Nkokonjeru for A Level.
The mother of two children studied grade V (teaching) at Kampala University original, she also studied social work and Social administration at UCU Mukono.
Lydia is a teacher by profession.
