“Those People are plotting to Break Buganda Kingdom”, Mengo Responds To Social Media Agitators,

Since last year, social media bloggers and critics have been endlessly informing the country that Kabaka of Buganda Kingdom Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II is no longer in control of his kingdom and many are plotting to kill him.

They also alleged that the Kingdom Prime Owek Charles Peter Mayiga is behind the move of killing Kabaka with the help of State House agents.

It worsened when Kabaka appeared before public when his Health condition wasn’t good.

However, Mengo has Officially came out to rubbish what social media say, it has done this through Kabaka’s press Secretary, Dick Kasolo who says that the social media Agitators want to break the Kingdom.

“To break a Kingdom, one has to weaken its norms & rituals first. The fight to break Buganda is a well calturated plan which has been implemented in phases overtime. What you see on social media today is just a tip of the iceberg.”

There is more to these insults than what you see and think.

There has been an outpouring of concern and well wishes for the health and well being of Ssabasajja Kabaka Ronald Mutebi II since the celebration of his 66th birthday on the 13th April 2021.

While we continue to pray for the Kabaka’s health and long life there is increasing concern and a need to guard against speculative, false and outrightly malicious allegations circulating on social media. The malicious falsehoods have ranged from an allegation that the Kabaka had passed away last year or that he was admitted on an emergency basis to Nakasero Hospital a few days ago.

There are also pointed attacks against senior members of the Royal Family, the Katikkiro and officials of the Kabaka’s government as well as against eminent Buganda personalities. The falsehoods and malicious allegations being instigated and spread by people who claim to love and be concerned about the Kabaka, whereas they are not.

In fact there is a clear and discernible plot by those enemies of Buganda to use this opportunity to weaken the Kingdom by creating rifts amongst the people of Buganda and undermining the Kabaka’s officials, especially the Katikkiro, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga and other Kabaka’s strong supporters.

Please beware of the false messages that are going around. Let us be discerning and careful about what we see, hear or share on social media.

Do not lend a hand to the enemies of Buganda and Uganda by spreading false information which is intended to cause fear, alarm and undue excitement. The effort to weaken the Kingdom shall not succeed. The disguised, concern for the Kingdom should not deceive anyone.

Please do not pay any attention to misleading false social media message propagandists. They pretend to support Kabaka and Buganda when their real aim is to destroy Kabaka and Buganda.
