Lakhani Auto Center dealers in motors and sports equipment, extended a generous hand to Uganda’s representatives in the ongoing Africa Club Volleyball Championship taking part in Tunisia.
Yesterday, Thursday, 21, April 2021, Lakhani Group of Companies saw it important to extend a hand to financially wanting Nemostars, the volleyball club that is representing Uganda on continental level now for the sixth time.
The company in the press briefing held at their offices in Kampala, revealed their contribute to the club, they gave them $1000 dollars, (3700000) cash.
Abubakar Lakhani, the company Founder and Director said that they are always available to support any sports event, athletes, clubs because they believe Uganda has a huge raw talent that needs support, and when Eddie Okila, the former Uganda Volleyball Federation Aspiring President reached at them, they did not hesitate to give a hand to a club that needs it.
“We have invested in the health and fitness sector heavily to help support the business communities as well as sports in Uganda. Fitness junction gym as part of Lakhani Group, has been providing support to Uganda Cricket Association national team and recently, the KCCA FC.
So when my friend Eddie Okila came out and say that there is a volleyball club that needs our support, we said we are ready to support them.” Abubakar Lakhani revealed.
Currently Nemostars Volleyball Club are on quarter finals of the Africa Club Volleyball Championship.
According to their management, the team is still need more financial support and they asked other companies and individuals to come out and finance them to see that they hit their target of lifting the trophy for Uganda.
The side needs at least USD4000 approximately 14.8M Uganda shillings.
