Stabex Opens New Petrol Station, Katikkiro Advises Employees To Treat Company As Their Own
The Katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga has called workers to place them selves as owners of the companies that they work for.
The Buganda Kingdom Prime said this as a Chief guest at the launch of the Stabex branch located at Lubiri Ring road just opposite the Lubiri High gate on Kabaka’s Land.
“I advise employees to treat this company as theirs because failing to do so may lead to the company’s collapse and during the collapsing process, the workers surfer first before company directors”
“It will be bad for Stabex to collapse just because workers failed to work for its growth, over 70% of the Ugandan youths are un employed, so I thank Stabex International for keeping on creating jobs to the people of Buganda, a lot of people have secured jobs on this branch and not only on this, even across all over the 150 Stabex stations in Uganda“
The branch opening ceremony happened on Wednesday 21st April.
At the event Katikkiro further invited other companies that wants to operate on Kabaka’s Land to approach Mengo government.
“Stabex International is a Kenyan based company which has 7 land titles at Kabaka’s land and they are a very compliant tenant, as a Kingdom we will work hard towards promoting Stabex, what they are doing is very important to the national income growth, as Buganda since we are the biggest brand in Uganda if not in East Africa and they are compliant with us it is our job to bridge them to the market”
Therefore I call every interested companies operating on Kabaka’s land to come to us, It will help much in their growth, they want market and we are the bridge to the market”
At the event that attracted dignitaries from Buganda government.
The state minister for agriculture Hajji Kakomo Hamis has reported to Katikiro that “Stabex deserves to move with Buganda Kingdom as you (Katikiro) directed us to partner with valuable partners. It is a Kenyans company but they are Kenyan who decided to stay in Uganda, Since the are selling gass they have helped us on the control of environment degradation and also helped a lot in employment as over 1000 Ugandans are employed”
