2023/24 SUPL: Table Leaders BUL FC Hosts Stubborn NEC
Fresh from beating URA FC 2-0 in the previous game, NEC FC visits BUL FC this afternoon at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
The table leaders BUL FC are looking forward to get back to winning ways as they host NEC FC. In the last game BUL who got two red cards, managed to grab a point on the road against Express FC in a hard fought 1-all draw.
However, the Abbey Kikomeko coached have won all their home games this season with their last home game being a 2-1 win over Kitara.
NEC FC lost 1-0 to Kitara FC in their last away game but they come into this fixture strong after beating URA FC 2-0 in their last league game.
BUL FC have eight wins, one draw and a loss apiece, producing 25 points, two points ahead of Vipers SC in second place while NEC FC currently sits in the third position with 19 points after winning six games, drawing one and losing three in ten matches.
In the press conference, BUL FC head coach Abbey Kikomeko believes that, they’re going to face a very tough team but their target is to win the game.
“NEC is not a simple team despite being new in the league. They have been performing very well since the season started. They have mature players but that is not going to be a test for us,” Started Kikomeko.
“We have so far played better teams than them much as we have been having some few problems here and there that we have been handling and I think now that we are at home; we shall put in whatever is needed to get the maximum points.” He concluded
Hussein Mbalangu the head coach of NEC FC, is optimistic that his boys can edge BUL FC.
“We are playing team that have won all their home games so far and that makes them strong but we will build on our previous 2-0 win character and put up a good fight to get maximum points.” Said Mbalangu.

BUL FC- – Head coach Abbey Kikomeko Bogere confirmed that apart from the suspended duo of Benon Tahomera and Walter Ochora, and the injured midfielder Pascal Ngobi, the rest of the players are available and ready to feature.
NEC FC – Coach Hussein Mbalangu also confirmed that some of his players got knocks in the last game against URA FC but all are now available for big clash.
Referee Olemu George will take charge of the match from the centre. Oriada Hakim and Kateregga Ashiraf will deputize him as the first and second assistant referee respectively. Atuhairwe Joyce will be the fourth official while Kizito Rahuman will serve as the referee assessor.
