Forum for the democratic change (FDC), one of the renown opposition political parties in Uganda, has responded to the sickness of State Minister for ICT and National Guidance Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi.
The Minister collapsed while attending a public function in Rutenga sub county where he was airlifted to Mulago hospital in Kampala to get treatment where he could not get in his area constituency.

So in this regard, FDC asserted that the government of Uganda should embark on health sector for proper health in the country.
“Its Now a policy that any government official gets any kind of sickness, just get airlifted to America, Kenya, India and other good hospitals in different countries to get a better treatment yet our hospitals are in poor condition and it should be a good lesson to our government that there are so many poor people who have lost their lives, so as FDC, we need a total ban for officials for being airlifted to abroad to treat their sickness. This will help us to reduce the rampant loss of lives amongst the poor ugandans.”
The deputy public relations officer Mr. Kikonyogo John said that ” Kambuga healthy centre IV in Kanungu where Mr Baryomunsi was taken for treatment they found no drugs to work upon him and later on he was airlifted to Mulago hospital in Kampala and it was a ashaming to former minister of State for healthy that hospital in his district are without medicine.”
