Stanbic Uganda Cup: Draws for Western Region Held, Over 30 to Participate

Another football region has held the preliminary draws for the 49th edition of Stanbic Uganda Cup. 

The Stanbic Uganda Cup preliminary draws for western region held on Thursday, the 24th of November at the Region FA offices.

The draws have attracted 31 teams of which the 16 teams are from Ankole sub region and the 15 are from Kigezi sub region.

Out of the 31 teams only four will represent the region in the round of 64 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The teams that went far in the last year’s edition will get a by. 

Mushabe Arnold the secretary competitions, western region football association thanked Stanbic bank Uganda for the sponsorship.

He said this time around compared to the previous editions, the 49th edition has attracted more teams which shows the growth of the game in the region.

The preliminary games are expected to kick off on the 6th of December to the 21 of December.
