Zero Distance To Return as Uganda Starts COVID-19 Vaccination

Soon people are to start closing the distance from each other since the COVID-19 vaccines entered bodies of some Ugandans. 

Uganda has officially started to vaccinate it’s people against COVID-19 with AstraZeneca.

The Minister for Health @J JaneRuth Aceng became the first Ugandan to receive the 1st dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at Mulago Specialized Women and Neonatal Hospital.

News has been circulating around of negative effect the vaccine can cause to Uganda, but after receiving his dose on Wednesday Aceng spoke media on a function and urged public not to mind the negative comments people say about the vaccine.

Aceng is the first person to take the jab and she says the vaccine is of no harm.

“I have just taken it and I am not having the funny experiences people talk about” said Aceng

Uganda has now joined a list of countries like Kenya, Rwanda that have already started the Covid-19 vaccination exercise.

The Minister said that the vaccine is safe so people should not worry and still urged Ugandans to complete the the two jabs to ensure effectiveness because everyone is responsible for their own health.

“Your health is your responsibility, anyone hesitating to take the jab should know that their health is their responsibility. If you surely value your life and that of your loved ones, then vaccinate” she said.

As communicated earlier, the first group to be vaccinated is the security personnel, Doctors and prisons.

It should be noted that according to Reuters news agency, last week, Australia suspended this same type of vaccine Uganda is using ‘Astra-Zeneca’ because it is said that one person became so I’ll after being vaccinated.
