Workers’ MP Electoral Process: Over 400 Non-Unionized Workers Register To Vote
The Kayunga District Local government and Electoral Commission confirmed the registration of over 400 non-unionised workers ahead of the 2021 elections of workers’ Member of Parliament.
The 434 members were registered from 13 sub counties and town councils that makes Kayunga district and on Thursday, 03rd, December 2020, the list shall be forwarded to the district Electoral Commission, the in charge of Gender and social development at the district, Collins Kafeero Kiguddu confirmed.
“I thank the team for the extension of the working heart even when no allowances & fuel was received by the Officers for the 3 days hard task.” Collins Kafeero thanked the participants.
Kangulumira Town council, Kangulumira Sub County, Busaana Sub County and town council top the chart with 58,48,42 and 40 respectively.
According to the process set my ministry of gender, Labour and social development, each sub County or town council shall elect 10 delegates who will represent the district on regional level.
On Thursday, the list of 434 members shall be submitted to the returning office Kayunga Electoral Commission to prepare for elections on Friday 05th December 2020.
