Women Football: Magogo Dumps Lutalo’s Technical Team of ‘Shitty football ‘, Set to Bring White in Color Tactician

The Executive Committee of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations [FUFA] headed by Eng. Moses Magogo had a 27th Excom meeting and made a number of key decisions.

Among those, included the setting free of the Crested Cranes technical positions. That meant that, the Crested Cranes tactician, George Lutalo and his backroom staff had the end of their one-year tenure at the Uganda’s national female football team. 

“The 27th FUFA Executive Committee declared that the positions of the technical team of Crested Cranes fell vacant.

Following the completion of their assignment for which they were appointed that ended with the WAFCON Finals in Morocco.

Application for the vacant positions will be communicated,” the statement from Federation’s official website reads. 

With that statement, Head Coach, George Lutalo,his assistant Edward Kaziba, Arthur Kyesimira, Prossy Nalwadda, and Paul Ssali who were serving as the fitness trainer, kits manager, and team manager respectively, were all relieved of there roles at the team. 

Lutalo and his technical team guided Uganda to their maiden CECAFA Women’s Championship as hosts in July 2022 but displaced unpleasant performance in the the 2022 Morocco CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

They didn’t go past the group stage. 

According to information moving around FUFA corridors at Mengo, the federation wants to hire a foreigner to handle the Crested Cranes team. 

If the rumors turns to be true, this will be the first time in history for any women’s football national team to be handled by a foreigner.
