Women Football: Finance Minister, Amos Lugoloobi Takes The Patron’s Role at Bugerere Women’s FC
The State Minister for Finance and Planning who doubles as the Member of Parliament represented people of Ntenjeru North, Hon. Amos Lugoloobi took the Patron’s role at the newly established Women football club in Kayunga District.
The in-charge of Uganda’s budget, Lugoloobi accepted to be the patron of the Bugerere Women’s Football Club the only official women’s football club in Kayunga District, the club was officially launched on 27th February 2022.
According to Club president, Abbey Munywevu, yesterday, the Minister accepted to be the patron of the club and expressed his readiness to support the club in all aspects to see that Women football grow in the area.
“Yesterday 2nd April 2022 we hosted the Hon Member of parliament Amos Lugoloobi who boosted our club with two million shillings in cash to prepare well for Buganda region league that soon kicking off .
The Honorable was happy to see young,determined and focused girls playing football. He pledged to continue supporting us financially and in all possible ways.” Said Abbey Munywevu, club president.
” The Minister also accepted to be our Patron and vowed to do everything possible to see that the club shines. ” He added.
Bugerere Women’s Football Club going to be the first women’s club from Kayunga to feature in any FA organized football competition in Women’s side.
