Women Cup Quarterfinal: Kampala Queens ‘Sanctioned’, of course not by USA, She Corporate is the Tormentor

The Palace in Mutundwe is yet to receive any good news and in space of four days, the Soccer Queens lost two would be their trophies basing on the quality they harbor.
Like it was on Sunday when Kampala Queens failed to defend the league trophy after losing 2-0 to eventual winners, Kawempe Muslim LFC, the soccer Queens were again on Thursday, the same week were dumped out of the FUFA Women Cup by Elite League side, She Corporate.
In the quarter final fixture held today, Thursday at Phillip Omondi Stadium Lugogo, Kampala Queens lost 0-1 against the visitors, She Corporate and Brenda Munyana only goal was the difference on the day.
Munyana’s goal came in the second minute of first half when Kampala Queens’ defend made a howler and Brenda punished them immediately. The goal stood to the final whistle.
The soccer queens through Catherine Nagadya, Zaina Nandede and Anitah Namata tried to at least find an equalizer but they were not clinical enough with the few clear chances they got before She Corporate goal mouth.
Credit to She Corporate midfield that denied Charles Ayiekho girls to operate in the middle of the park which made the hosts very casual on the day.
This means Kampala Queens, the side with the most top quality players in the league climaxed the season with no silverware.
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC is another side that failed to make it to quarter final, they lost to Byafaayo Queens, 4-5 via spot kicks following a goalless stalemate in normal time, this has been the round of sixteen encounter.
Byafaayo Queens will be visiting Wakiso Hill WFC for a quarter final encounter scheduled to take place on Sunday 02nd, at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende.
The other quarter final fixture is set for Friday as Asubo Ladies FC will host Rines SS at Kawanda SS ground.
