“There are four aspects in sports; practicing, participating, Performance and recognition. Therefore I would like to thank USSSA for taking us through these steps and now we are at the point of recognizing these athletes. To the students, use your time in school to reach the best version of yourself. Schools should desist from creating clubs inside schools. You find a school and students refer to some students as “ballers” Are ballers not students?” -David Katende Assistant General Secretary of NCS who also represented the minister as chief guest at the welcome luncheon at Hotel Imperial Royale.

The USSSA president, Justus Mugisha bragged that Uganda was the country with the second biggest number in Dalian behind the hosts China.

“While in Dalian, Uganda had the second highest number of teams just two behind China who were the hosts. The main reason is that in sport, usually from about a thousand athletes, you may find that only three make it to the very highest level. Therefore it’s very important to take a pool such that we can have the very best.”- Justus Mugisha USSSA President remarks.

Kazaire Mark Ahimbisibwe, the captain of team Uganda that went to China also had his remarks.
