WINSA Primary School have successfully defended their FEASSA Games Primary Schools Netball title after finishing top of the standings with a perfect winning record in Morogoro, Tanzania.

The Ugandan representatives sealed the championship on Thursday with a commanding 51–37 victory over their closest challengers, Matagaro, in a decisive encounter.

WINSA started strongly, taking an 12–8 lead in the opening quarter before extending their lead to 26–20 at half-time. They continued to dominate after the break, leading 39–29 at the end of the third quarter before completing the victory with a 14-goal margin.

The victory took WINSA to 12 points from six matches, maintaining their position at the summit of the table.

Matagaro remained on seven points with one match left, but even a victory in their final game will not be enough to dislodge WINSA from the top, confirming the Ugandan side as champions.

WINSA’s triumph also means they have successfully retained the trophy they won for the first time at the 2025 FEASSA Games in Kakamega, Kenya.

The champions completed their campaign with a 100 percent winning record, underlining their dominance throughout the tournament and reaffirming their status as the leading force in primary schools netball in the region.

For Uganda, the success adds another major regional title to the country’s impressive showing at the 2026 FEASSA Games.
