“We shall Increase transport fare”, Link Bus Company Alerts Travelers in Time Ahead of Festival Season

The Link Bus Company, on one of the big companies with long route operations in Uganda have alerted their customers that there will be transport fare increment during the festival season.

As festival season is a round the corner, Uganda’s transport sector will be in jubilation since there will be a lot of movements and transport costs are expected to increase.

The Link Bus Company Uganda limited on Wednesday at Kenedia Hotel in Kampala, they have organized a one day workshop for their drivers and managers in the pursuit to improve on their services towards their clients especially for the coming festival season.

Unlike the previous seasons, this year security has been a key point and the company assured their clients that they have stocked enough machine detectors and they will be at work at all time.

The managing Director Link bus Company Uganda limited Solomon Simenya made an appeal to their customers to be extra conscious towards this festival season because there are so many thieves turned into blockers and all customers are advised to go straight to the known offices to a void losses.

He also called upon the government of Uganda to enforce traffic rules and regulations in order to limit Over speeding which can reduce road accidents.

“As Link Bus we have enough spare drivers to operate in this up coming festival season, therefore we expect a large number of customers but also transport increment will be in place this is due to the fact that we normally lack returns and our buses are always empty from up country to Kampala” said managing Director Link bus”.

“The safety of our clients is our first priority and others follow.” said Head of security Kasirye Jitar and also added that: checking will not be only in Kampala, it will be everywhere Link bus company has a connection a cross the country “.
