We Must Control Our Emotions to Protect the product , Magogo Responds to Kasingye’s ‘Uncalled’ for Action in Vipers-Police Encounter
Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) President Eng Moses Magogo responded to Asan Kasingye ‘uncalled’ for actions did during and after Vipers-Police FC Uganda Premier League fixture honored at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende.
In the game that was played on 19th February 2021 where Vipers won 3-2, Police’s custodian Derrick Ochan awarded with a red card in the first half of the game which prompted the Cops’ chairman Asan Kasingye to protest against Centre referee’s call.
After the game, Kasingye also went to his twitter handle and said that he made it intentionally and he was ready for any punishment.

“I intended it. The world must know about @VipersSC and the relationship with referees. I am now waiting for my suspension. That will be my highest achievement ever in managing a @UPL team for 30 years. @OfficialFUFA, hurry, suspend me & enjoy your referees antics!” Kasingye on his twitter five days ago.
Basing on so many actions and reactions after that game, FUFA called an agent breakfast meeting with UPL Board and UPL club chairmen to discuss on how the game will be conducted and developed.
While giving his remarks before media was allowed out of the meeting taking place at Imperial Royale Hotel Kampala on Thursday, FUFA President Eng Moses Magogo reacted to Asan Kasingye’s actions.
“We all have emotions, football is a game of emotions, it’s a game of mistakes.” Magogo said before adding. “Indeed there was a mistake everybody saw that it was committed by the referee and that’s why from what have been informed, the red card was annulled.”
“It was a mistake that was done, the motivation of the mistake being committed can be investigated, was it intended or mistake, that is totally a different matter and it should be investigated.”
“But when one of our club chairmen comes out and fails to control the emotions, the challenge we get is that we have a product, but this moment we are forgetting about the bigger product, how are we communicating to the intended buyers of this product.“
“Myself as a president of the federation have had a national team engaged in matches and have seen certain situations but you hold yourself in confinement, sometimes you want to burst looking at some of decisions.
Magogo also commented on the what should be done to professionalise the league and other domestic competitions.
