‘We Don’t Need Your Services in Big League’, Wakiso, Bengo Not Married Anymore

Wakiso Giants FC axed Bengo Steven following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season with poor results.
This decision comes after a difficult campaign in which the club was relegated to the FUFA Big League, finishing the season with 20 points from 30 matches, recording just three wins and 11 draws.
“While this outcome is deeply disappointing for everyone associated with Wakiso Giants, we recognize and appreciate Coach Bengo’s dedication, passion, and tireless efforts during his tenure.” Reads part of the club statement.
Bengo Steven took charge of the club from Ayala with great ambition and worked hard under challenging circumstances unfortunately the club got relegated and the club had to change its leadership as also the ambitions.
“After a comprehensive review of the season and the need to take decisive steps toward rebuilding and future success, the club believes that a change in leadership is necessary.”
The process to identify a new head coach is already underway, and the club shall assemble a technical team capable of guiding Wakiso Giants back to top-flight football.
