Villa Elections: If I don’t Win Continental Title, Never Vote For Me again- Mbidde
The Sports Club Villa presidential candidate, Dennis Mbidde Ssebugwawo officially on Thursday launched his manifesto at Kayali Building Kampala.
The ardent Villa Supporter, explained a number of issues he is tackle in four years if given mandate on Saturday, 28th August 2021.
Among the serious and sensitive issue he pointed and emphasized on is to win Sports Club Villa a continental title.
Mbidde says, the next president for all-time league champions should bring the continental title, either Champions League or Confederations Cup because the Club had won almost everything on land and in the region.
“The Next Villa president, the exceptional thing he can do for us is to win a continental title, and I stand here to pledge that am going to fulfill that. If I don’t then don’t waste your time to re-elect me.” Point blank Mbidde Ssebugwawo told Villa Supporters whole launching the manifesto.
The former Villa Fans Coordinator, a marketing expert Mbidde revealed that he was among the planners who brought the idea of bringing Villa back to fans because they found out that an individual alone can’t solve the problems of Sports Club Villa.
“We need to put some facts straight, I with Eng. Moses Magogo, and the Villa CEO Mubiru Shawn are the immediate names behind the idea of taking Villa back to fans, we tried having individual players but failed to achieve, because everything being on one head, it can’t manage.”
Mbidde Ssebugwawo also revealed that if he takes over, he will fight to see that Villa get an history book, Villa to have a TV and preparing Players have a good life after active football.
“Villa is not documented, Villa is an historical Club but it has no straight and recorded history, so in my term I want to see that Villa is well documented.
We are going to have Villa TV that will act as our video archive, the life of players, I see many former players run to FUFA for help, but a player is not for FUFA is for the Club, then it’s the club to prepare these players and learn how to handle life after football.”
Of recent past, Villa fans proved to be the most violent on and off the pitch but Mbidde says, in his leadership, such indiscipline characters will be eliminated because Villa’s foundation was set on sanity not violence.
He mentioned about the stadium construction, relationship with Government and to as early as possible to bring Sponsors on board because it’s where his expertise is.
