UPL: URA Completes Comeback Over Express, BUL Ease Past Wakiso Giants
URA FC bounced back from a goal down to register a dramatic 2-1 comeback win over Express FC with table leaders BUL FC taking good care of poor Wakiso Giants, beating them 3-0 at their home.
Goals from Aliro Moses and Laban Tibita cancelled out Isaac Wagoina’s goal to deny express an away win.
Martin Aprem netted a brace and Alex Kitata added one to seal a 3-0 comfortable win for BUL FC over Wakiso Giants.
In Lugazi, Express FC failed to protect their 1-0 lead as URA FC rallied from behind to pick maximum Points.
Laban Tabita scored at the early stages of the game but his goal was flagged offside and cancelled but before the break Isaac Wagoina put the visitors in the lead in the 27th minute following goalkeeper Otim’s childish mistake.

In the second half, Obua’s URA FC started to dominate the game just like in the first half but they increased on the speed while attacking and in the last 15 minutes, they were awarded a penalty after goalkeeper Ssenkoto’s foul and Moses Aliro equalized from the spot.
With five minutes to the final whistle, Laban Tibita doubled the lead for the hosts with a screamer. Aliro jumped high inside the box and headed to set for Tibita who wonderfully hit the ball and put the hosts in the lead and his goal turned into the match winner as URA FC completed the comeback.
This was the first win for URA FC’s new head coach David Obua and at the fulltime, he was all smiling. Obua’s first game was a 2-all draw with Kitara while his second game, URA lost 2-0 to Vipers SC.
The win took the Tax Collectors to the 8th position and only five points behind the top four on the log.
Elsewhere, BUL FC extended their perfect run as they comfortably edged Wakiso Giants 3-0 at Kabaka Kyabaggu.

The first half ended all square but BUL FC came stronger in the last Stanza scoring two goals in a quick succession by Martin Aprem and goal poacher Alex Kitata respectively at the the start of the second stanza.
In the last twenty minutes, Martin Aprem stretched the lead and his brace of the day making it 3-0 and the goal sealed the win to go seven points clear on top of the table.
This was BUL FC’s eighth win in nine games and fifth loss for Wakiso Giants this season and the Purple Sharks sits at the 15th position in the relegation zone.
In the next game, Wakiso Giants will visit Arua Hill on 5th December, 2023, Express will host table leaders BUL FC on the same day, and on the following day, URA FC will visit newcomers NEC FC.
