Ug Decides2021: EAC Election-Observer Mission Head, Ndaizeye Flags Off A team of over 70 Electoral Observers

The former president of Burundi also the Head of East Africa Community – Election Observers Mission Domitien Ndaizeye has flagged off a team of electoral observers for the 2021 general elections.

The event of flagging off 74 electoral observers took place today, Tuesday 12 January 2021 at Imperial Royale Hotel Kampala.

These observers selected from all East African Community Countries apart from Uganda first went through training before departing to different parts of Uganda.

Today we gather here to  officially flag off 74 observers from East African Community Election observer mission for the 14to January 2021 presidential and parliamentary elections in the Republic of Uganda.

The observers come from all the EAC countries apart from Uganda.” Former Burundi President and the current head of EAC Election Observers mission Domitien Ndaizeye officially flagged of the observers.

Domitien Ndaizeye wished the observers the best and asked political actors in Uganda to avoid the acts of provocation and incitement during and after elections.

I encourage all the political actors to avoid incitement and acts of provocation of any kind to see that the elections end amicably.

The transparent and peaceful elections will not be only a blessing to Uganda but for the entire EAC region.” Domitien Ndaizeye cautioned.

These observers are sent in districts like, Masaka, Kampala, Masindi, Kabale, Mbale, Kasese, Mubende, Gulu, Arua, Soroti and Moroto.
