Stanbic Uganda Cup: At least Draw, Kaziba On Vipers-Villa Quarter Final Encounter

Sports Club Villa boss, Edward Kaziba says that his side must get a result from St Mary’s Stadium Kitende as they are taking on Vipers on Tuesday in the first leg of Stanbic Uganda Cup Quarter final encounter.

In the league this season, Sports Club Villa lost both legs against their current rivals and this will be their third time when meeting this season and Kaziba is saying at least they need a draw of a goal if they fail to collect maximum points.

“Tomorrow we know very well that we are playing away from home, we will go to Kitende for a win, if we fail to secure a win, a draw won’t do us bad, but we must score a goal or two we need an away goal so that we easily finish the business at home in the second leg.” Kaziba told this website.

SC Villa going this tricky fixture with a backing of 1-0 league win secured off Kyetume FC which ended their win drought.

Sports Club Villa will be without the services of their creative midfielder, Salim Abdallah and Faizo Muwawu due to sickness.

In this year’s Stanbic Uganda Cup, the nine-time title winners to reach this level has so far eliminated  Ndejje University on a 3-1 gia aggregates after double leg in round of 32 and Onduparaka1-0 aggregate to reach the last 8 while Vipers, the 2016 winners sailed through to quarter finals after beating Busoga United on 5-1 and UPDF FC on round of 32 and 16 respectively.

On the same day, BUL FC and Kigezi Homeboys FC will be having their return leg fixture of round of 16, BUL is still in the lead of 2-1, the game is at Kabale Municipal Stadium.
