Ssingo 1-1 Buluuli: Ssingo Head Coach Calls For Team’s Financial Support

Saturday 12th DEC: Bulemeezi 1-1 Butambala

Unlike the previous years where teams have been hosting their games at their home venues, 2020 is very different as all matches are to be played at one venue that is FUFA Technical center Njeru.

This makes the biggest source of income to team (gate collection) off as no fans are allowed in the stadium and this means teams have to look for ways of soliciting funds.

After matchday one when Ssingo shared spoils with Buluuli in a one all draw, Ssingo Head Coach Kabali Michael raised his voice calling for financial support to aid the team which is currently in Njeru for group games (Butikkiro).

“Getting a point more so from behind is good for us in this group (Butikkiro) because even our opponents (Bulemeezi and Butambala) shared spoils.”

“We will go back to the drawing board and try to reorganize mostly in the striking department to make them more clinical” Added Kabali

“Its our humble request to you all people from Ssingo and well wishers the fact is the team is not in good mood. so we are in need of your support.

An entertaining game played on Sunday afternoon saw the first half end in a barren draw with both side missing chances.

It was until the 62nd minute of the game that second half substitute Henry Tenywa put the 2011 champions into lead with a half volley kick.

Tenywa replaced Johnson Ssenyonga ten (10) minutes into the second half of the game

Four minutes to final whistle, Ssewaali Joseph shot passed Buluuli goalkeeper Ssekamwa Abdullah to end the game in a one all draw.

The result means the four teams in Butikkiro group which have played are tied on one point with all scoring one goal.

Buluuli Starting Eleven against Ssingo in a game which ended in a 1-1 draw

Monday 14th will be a resting day and teams will use it for recovery training before actions returning on Tuesday 15th with two matches on menu.

Ssembabule based Ssaza in Mawogola who are yet to play any game will be in action against two time winners Ssingo (2015 and 2018) in an afternoon (12PM) game before Buluuli taking on Butambala at 3PM

Thursday 17th: Ssingo Vs Butambala (12PM) and Mawogola Vs Buluuli (3PM)

Monday 21st: Ssingo Vs Butambala (12PM) and Bulemeezi Vs Mawogola (3PM)
