Sports: Uganda Premier League Returns As KCCA Perfectly Start The Season

The National football top flight League, Uganda Premier league return in action for season 2020/21 and  Kampala Capital City Authority FC registered a perfect start.

The 13-time league champions, KCCA FC beat Soltilo Bright Stars on 2-1 in a league opener played at Kavumba Recreation Centre, Wakiso on Thursday, 03-12-2020.

New signing, Brian Aheebwa, Sam Ssenyonjo were on target for Kasasiro boys to secure three points on the day.

Aheebwa, new signing from Mbarara City opened his season account in the 20th minute, thanks for Keziron Kizito’s assist. Brian having an exceptional day also got involved for Mutebi’s coached side second goal scored by Sam Ssenyonjo in 26th minute.

The first stanza saw KCCA having a two goal lead.

Bright Stars looked a better side with continued attacks which yield in 85th minute with a Goal by Stephen Akandanaho to make it 2-1.

Currently the Lugogo boys tops the table.

The match day one continues tomorrow with three fixtures on card, the Cops (Police FC) shall be hosting Wakiso Giants FC at Lugogo, while BUL FC at home, Kyabazinga Stadium-Jinja will be hosting Sports Club Villa as Mbarara City taking on Uganda Revenue Authority FC at Kakyeka Stadium.
