Sponsorship: UBA Acquires Hema Water as Hydrating Partners for Two Para Tourneys
Uganda Badminton Association (UBA) has on Friday 07/7/2023 unveiled Hema Water Beverages Limited as their water partners for the two Championships running until 16th July 2023.
Hema provided the association with 200 cartons of water of 650ml bottles and they promised to add more if the association feels like the first distribution is not enough for them.
Kigula Robert Sales and Marketing Manager of Hema Water Beverages Limited revealed that they came on board because badminton is a big sport and Hema is also a big company, believing that the sport will help in promoting their brand to public and ready to deal with the sport even in the following events.
“Hema Water Beverages Limited has come on board because badminton is a big sport and we believe that the sport will help in promoting our brand to public. We are more than ready to deal with Badminton even in the subsequent events, we have donated 200 cartoons of water but again if it’s not enough maybe when they have miscalculated, we are ready to add them more.” Says Hema Water Beverages Limited Sales and Marketing Manager, Robert Kigula.
Annet Nakamya, the Association chairperson, thanked the company for supporting their budget and to hydrate the plyers because water is a major element to every Athlete.
“Uganda Badminton Association is much humbled for the support in running these tournaments. To Hema water, we are grateful to hydrate the plyers because water is a major element to every Athlete, they are playing indoor and they need a lot of water.” Says UBA Chairperson Annet Nakamya.
Hema is now the second partner for Badminton in this ongoing Championship at Lugogo Indoor Arena, the first was Bank of Baroda who injected five million shillings into the tournament.
Meanwhile, Team Uganda Coach, Ronald Lule revealed that after day four of action, Uganda has chance of winning silver or gold medals in the championship since they have at least four players who have hit semifinals level.
The International championship is climaxing on Sunday 9th before the Africa Championship Commences the following days till 16th July 2023.
