Olympics Tokyo 2020: Lato Milk Extends Support to Uganda’s Qualified Olympians

Inside the 100 days count down to Tokyo Japan for Olympic Games 2020, a number of Companies keeps on coming on board to give support to the Pearl of Africa qualified Olympians.

The diary products producing company, Lato Milk joined the race, formed a partnership with the Uganda Olympic Committee to support the Olympians preparations.

The Diary company which adds value on milk in different forms through it’s Powdery director Shyam Koticha has laid nutritious support equivalent to 40 Million Uganda shillings to all 2020 Ugandan Olympians.

This happened on Friday 7 May 2021 at Uganda Olympic committee offices at Lugogo.

While handing over the first delivery of the package which will be given to Olympians in every 24 day.

Shyam gave a speech on behalf of the nine year old company.

We are very happy for our Olympians and we congratulate them to qualify for the Olympics, this time they are 25 and we pray that at the next games they will be 40. As Lato Milk, we are to offer each athlete of the 25 with our products for all remaining days of their preparations” the Director stated.

Our product are good nutritious products.

Each athlete shall be receiving a carton of Powdery milk, Yoghurt, liquid milk to use on daily basis” He added.

Uganda has already qualified 25 athletes of which 13 of them are female.

Donald Rukare, the Uganda Olympic Committee president thanked Lato Milk for extending such great support to Athletes, and he is confident that Lato Milk products are in line with Anti doping regulations.

Catherine Nanziri, the first female boxer to represent Uganda in Olympics, gave a vote of thanks to Lato Milk; I thank the director of Lato Milk for this offer , it is going to be of a good help in our training. We are going to train with ease because we shall be with refreshments.” 

The Uganda Athletics Federation so far has produced the most Olympians this year.

The other Olympians we the have this year Tokyo Olympics games three comes from Boxing, two from Swimming and one from Rowing.
