NUP Rigged Elections Mostly In Buganda’ says Museveni

Kampala: The President of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, yesterday evening addressed the Nation while at Nakasero State House where he chatted about a number of issues.

Museveni has with great confidence accused National Unity Platform principal Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobiwine together with his party people for having participated in the rigging of the 2021 Presidential elections.

President Museveni who was announced as the winner of 2021 General Elections made these remarks while addressing the nation on Sunday where said that Kyagulanyi was involved in ballot stuffing and intimidation of NRM supporters, that this was done with the help of police.

“It was Kyagulanyi and the team that cheated massively. Especially here in Kampala , Mpigi, Kyotera and in some parts in the Eastern like Busoga where our agents were weak, a lot of ballot stuffing happened. Thank God we emerged winners.” Said Museveni

Museveni went ahead to talk about Kyagulanyi and his petition which he had filed against NRM challenging president Museveni’s win.

“In his petition, Kyagulanyi said he had evidence showing how Ballot stuffing was conducted, intimidation of their voters but when asked of the evidence, he didn’t show anything” Museveni noted.

About the people rampant abductions, President said that all those were arrested over violence in 2021 elections can only be released when they ask for pardon and promise never to get involved in violence acts.
