Netball Exports: “Player of the Match Accolade tells My Coaches to Believe in Me More than Before” Kadondi on Her Debut In Malaysia

It was a good start for Uganda’s duo in the Malaysian Netball Super League that threw off on Friday at Stadium Jaura.

The pair of defender Kadondi Falidah and shooter, Christine Namulumba Kango, with their team, Perak Phoenix Netball Club started with a huge win against Negeri Sembilan Venom.

The side beat Negeri Sembilan Venom 65-28 to secure maximum points on game day one. 

Kadondi Falidah, a former Weyonje NC and a She Cranes star had a brilliant game in the goalkeeping position and she was voted the player of the match of that match they comfortably won.

Speaking to this website after the game, Kadondi welcomed the award with both hands and revealed that it will help her managers and coaches to have much confidence in her and the teammates.

“Being named player of the match on my debut is something that will help my team managers and the coach to believe in me more than before…” she stated.

I am  so grateful for today’s game, I have actually gained confidence with my teammates that we can do better than this and the award it’s an addition to my achievements and goals in this whole NSL.” 

About the competition in Malaysian Netball Super League, Kadondi asserted that there is a lot of competition in the league and it’s not a walk in park to win a game.

“The teams here are good teams, so competitive, it’s actually not just so easy to win a game, we always have to fight so hard and bring out the little experience we have to see that we win the games” she Said.

In the same game, shooter, Christine Namulumba Kango was also exceptional and out of the 65 her team netted, Kango had 60 which is a good start for her target to be the top scorer in her debut season.

The other duo of Ugandans in the same league, Shadia Nassanga and Shaffie Nalwanja with their KL Wildcats Netball Club had a bad start, they lost to Defending champion, Johor Jewels 45-43.

The four Uganda’s exports will be in action again on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
