Netball Elections 2021: I’m Coming with Visionary Leadership, Nampijja on Her Manifesto Launch
The Aspiring candidate for the top seat of Uganda Netball Federation (UNF) in the forthcoming Annual General Elections, Christine Nampijja launched her Manifesto and highlighted the main issues she is to immediately tackle once given mandate.
The independent candidate launched her Manifesto on Tuesday at WAKISHA Resource Center in Wakiso district before few delegates and media.
The event that started at 1600hrs, Nampijja, the teacher at Trinity College Nabbingo first gave a brilliant and vibrant speech before unleashing her six key points of her Manifesto.
The Secondary school teacher, a mother and a married woman of 46 years unleashed the six core pillars she is to base on while resurrecting the game.
Nampijja said that she came to start for the president’s post after realizing that the post remained vacant and when she has all the qualities of a good leader.
The teacher said that she is coming with Visionary leadership and she is to reserruct the sport in what she termed “The Re-birth of Ugandan Netball Blue prints”.
“I am in my useful years, I am not young girl that am searching, looking for job, no I am a married Woman with kids, I have a government job, so I am the best candidate for this position, at my age it’s when the women are more stable and visionary, I am bringing visionary leadership in the game which has been lacking.” Nampijja in her statement.
Nampijja says that she is a good negotiator with good communication skills, self-motivated, Accountable and good at grasping new ideas.
The Administrative law certificate holder asserted that the game of Netball is for both, women and men but in her interpretation of issues, she saw that the men’s Netball has been ignored but she is coming to Uplift their game and to develop it from grassroots the same way she is to do for Women.
The other key points in Nampijja’s manifesto are the Academy growth of Netball, she said that Netball is having few exports because there is no pool where more talents can be birth from.
“Our national team we always take grown up players, yes they give us good results but in terms of exporting them to other professional Leagues it’s hard because, there is no serious businessman can take an old player who can’t give him at least 10 consecutive seasons.
So in my manifesto, I want to see that we get serious academies from all regions to develop talents who can be exported at a youthful age.”
Nampijja said that is coming alot because she is a good teacher, adjustable, see can work with any one on team and can teach them the best way of having a team work.

✓Constiutional Amendments.
The Elections are set to be held on Saturday 05th June 2021 at Lugogo.
