Netball Bika: Ngeye, Mmamba To Battle for Ssabasajja Kabaka’s Handshake

The 2022 Bika Bya Abaganda Netball edition reaches finals and it’s Mmamba Namakaka and Ngeye are the confirmed two clans to battle for the Kabaka’s shield.

To reach final, Mmamba Namakaka eliminated Mbogo on quarter finals at Wankulukuku and found no hurdle to handle Lugave on semifinals honored at Weyonje Grounds Kibuli on Thursday 11th August 2022.

Mmamba Namakaka and Lugave encounter came as the semifinal two and Mmamba humbled Lugave 48-31 at fulltime.

The first semifinal played at the same court, saw Ngeye that got a wake over at quarter finals, eliminating out of discipline Nyonyi Nyange (defending champion) by a goal difference of seven following a 48-41 scoreline.

In the tournament so far, the defending champions Nyonyi Nyange displayed a bit of improper discipline and at a certain moment after third quarter, the Nyonyi Nyange refused to step back on court claiming the the day’s umpire was not balancing the game. It took over ten minutes for them to come back and finish the game.

For starters, at least 29 clans registered for the 2022 edition.

It’s yet to be confirmed when the final between Ngeye and Mmamba Namakaka will be played.
