Mukono Parents Crowned Champions Of The Inaugural Mujuta Challenge Gala

Mukono: Mukono Parents School Crowned the champions of Inaugural Mujuta challenge Easter Cup Gala after beating Skyline 7-6 via spot kicks following a barren stalemate in open play.

Eight teams converged at Nile High School play ground in Dandira Mukono district to take part in the Mukono Junior teams challenge gala that was organised on easter monday by King’s Town Soccer Academy with an intent of uniting all junior teams in Mukono district. 

Among the eight teams were Kings Town, Golden Impact, Superbullets and Skyline Soccer Academy that battled it out in group A , while Brentford,Worriors , New Life and Mukono Parents Soccer Academy battled in group B.

The group stage encounters saw Skyline to semi finals and Superbullets after leading group A with 6 and 4 points respectivlly as group B champions Mukono Parents made it with 9 points and Brentford with 4 points.

Semi finals started with a 2-0 win for Skyline after defeating Brentford Academy, and the second semi final was a goal less draw between Superbullets and Mukono Parents after which Mukono Parents won 5-4 in the penalties helping the latter secure a slot in the final.

Mukono Parents won the final via penalties 7-6 following a goal less draw in normal time against Skyline.

After all the Soccer drama the guest of honor  SSebambulibe Jonathan who doubles as  the National Director of Fields of Dreams Uganda awarded best performers of the day that included Kawesa Shakul of Superbullets as the MVP, Nabulya Patience who was the best female player and Mukisa Jordan who emerged the best goal keeper both from Skyline.

Odongo Patrick took the golden boot after scoring 4 goals.

According to the organizers, Ssezoba Vicent and Ndawula David both director of Kings Town Football Academy promised to organize the same during the Christmas break.
