M7’s National Address On Social And Economic Recovery Postponed, Bobi Wine To Enjoy The Day
Today, Sunday 22nd day of November, 2020 National Resistance Movement flag bearer and President of Uganda was to address the nation on social and economic recovery matters, has been postponed to another date.
According to Don Wanyama, official President Museveni Press Secretary via his twitter handle revealed that the president is not to address the nation as it was scheduled before.
“The Presidential Address that was scheduled for 7pm today has been deferred to a new date that will be announced. We regret any inconveniences.

Prior to this abrupt announcement, on Friday the National Broadcasters Association (NAB) wrote a letter to Uganda Communication Commission to clarify whether Tibuhaburwa will address the nation as a candidate or a president of Uganda.

“We received your directive to the broadcasters regarding the airing of a national address by His Excellency the president on Sunday, the 22nd of November 2020 under the theme, “Security and Economic recovery” between 7pm and 9pm” the letter signed by Joseph Beyanga, the NAB Secretary General reads in part.
“The purpose of this letter is to seek your guidance and clarity on the matter of the president’s address. In case it is a campaign style address by a candidate, the willing broadcasters ought to be paid for broadcasting the same.” The letter concludes.
On the same date, National Unity Platform Presidential candidate Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert going to address the nation on matters of National importance at 7pm via his official Facebook page.
