The former presidential candidate, Chapaa Karuhanga revealed that Kyagulanyi and his party made a right decision to petition court about the fraud manifested in the just concluded 2021 presidential general elections.

Chapaa a Forum for Democratic change Party member and a 2001 presidential aspirant, in an exclusive interview with this website at his home in Nakasero, said that Kyagulanyi’s petition against NRM fraud might not make immediate impact but it will help to expose the Judiciary arm as an entity also captured by the dictator.

Kyagulanyi’s Petition Will Help To Expose Judiciary as a Dictator Captured entity” Chapaa quoted.

Chapaa also added his voice to explain people why the opposition go into elections they well know that they are going to be rigged.

People say, why do you go in elections when you better know they are going to be rigged but elections give us opportunity to communicate our messages to people because with no elections, this government can’t give you chance to communicate. In these elections, we tell people the wrongs of the government.” Chapaa explaining.

So even Kyagulanyi going to court and expose what we call state captured. That it’s not only police, not only the military and Security agencies, but even the judiciary has been captured by the dictator, so it will be on record.” Chapaa’s view.

Karuhanga is saying that the petition shall help the young generation to have a firm ground against any next President who will come in power who will try to take the same route like President Museveni is using.

If we are standing together, tomorrow we shall say never ever such things be allowed in our country.” Adding “we must come together, we need to have that attitude like boda boda guys do have, you knock one, the rest raise up, because today it’s me, tomorrow it will be you. We need that attitude as Ugandans, you are a young generation who need to stand up together to save your country, not violently because wars are very deadly but raise up, stand tall, meet those people, Museveni, Kadaga and raise your voices.

Let every section raise up, the journalists, teachers, religious people, private sector, in doing so you will create the new Uganda.

Karuhanga also revealed that he last believed in Museveni in 1987, when he (Museveni) started doing things contrary to what was on their agenda.

Chapaa is saying, he financially supported NRA and with intelligence.

In 1973, Chapaa became among the youths by then who fought Amin’s government while still at Makerere University and in 1976 he was arrested but with the help of good hearted Nubians helped him to escape from Makindye Barracks before he went in exile.
