KRL: Miod Aksam Continues To Take Kampala Region by Storm, On Brace as Katereke Secure Important Points

The youngster, Aksam Miod continued with his brilliant start of the season, he has netted a brace over the weekend as his side, Katereke New Life FC grabs a 3-2 victory from Nsambya FC. 

With the brace, Miod took his tally to seven goals this season in four played games.

Katereke New Life won the game 3-2 against highly challenging Nsambya FC in two weathered game played at St Peters SS Nsambya on Sunday 26 November 2023. 

The last weekend hat-trick star, Miod chipped in the opener after 15 minutes played before Shafick Kaweesi extended the lead through penalty following Nsambya’s Hakim Matovu handball in the forbidden area in the stoppage time of the first stanza. 

The game went to the break with the Junior Sheiks leading 2-0 but concede an early second half goal scored by Henry Scot Mutumba two minutes into the last stanza to make it 2-1.

Nsabya FC played the best way to seek a come back but Katereke new life Goalie Goerge Opio was outstanding making incredible saves to keep his side in the lead. 

The flow of the game was latter interrupted with heavy downpour and the biggest part of second half was played under rain. 

While looking for equalizer, Nsambya got a set back when Miod completed his brace and extended the visitors’ lead to 3-1 but with seven minutes to fulltime, Nsambya were awarded a penalty and it was converted by speed merchant, Isaac Ofoyrwoth and the game ended 3-2 in favor of the visitors.

The results maintained Katereke’s second position moving to 13 points, only two behind the table leaders, CATIDA FC who have 15 in five games.

Katereke New Life will return to action on Wednesday playing against Waters FC at Nakivubo Blue Primary at 4PM.
