Kayunga: Ag District Chair Pushing for A Come Together Leaders’ Meeting, Targeting Smooth Service Delivery

As the saying goes, United we stand, divide we fall, the Acting Local Council Five Chairperson, Joel Kayiira embarked on pushing for a serious meeting with all political leaders in Kayunga District.

Kayiira who replaced the late Ffeffeka Sserubogo Muhammad who died mid last month (June) believes that when all leaders in the district especially those at National level (Members of Parliament) decide to work together and put aside their political differences, the locals of Kayunga are to benefit a lot.

Kayunga District has four Members of Parliament, Hon. Charles Tebandeke of Bbaale Constituency, Ntenjeru South Legislator, Patrick Nsanja, Ntenjeru North of Amos Lugoloobi and Aidah Nantaba who represents women of Kayunga in Parliament.

These four are not from the same Party meaning, each has different interests but in an executive interview with this website, the Acting LCV chairman Joel Kayiira said that they should put aside a lot their political differences to work for the people, because when they move at the same place, it’s when the locals will benefit from them. 

“I am pushing and planning to have a serious meeting for all political leaders in Kayunga irrespective of our political parties.” Joel Kayiira revealed to this website.

“As a leader I want all of us to come together, I call upon all leaders more so those at Parliamentary level, some issues go past district to national level and they are to be handled by our Maps but if they are not cooperative, then it means we are not to benefit from them. “

” The Kayunga residents only benefit from us when we are together because there we can speak the same language and that develops the district.” He explained.

In the same interview, Kayiira who is currently more on ground, he talked about the government projects in the district especially road constructions, he highlighted the roads which are under construction and those soon they are intending to work on.

Kayiira called upon parents and community leaders to take much care on children because they days they are getting much reports on children indiscipline. 

“Parents and leaders, please mind about our children, in their period, many girls are getting into unprepared marriages, getting unwanted pregnancies, we are getting reports, some kids are no longer controllable but we need to build a strong foundation and these kids are the foundation, so let’s give them time, take care of them such that they don’t become a disgrace in our communities. ” Kayiira gave a piece of advice to parents.
