Janan School Reach Quarter Finals of USSSA U16 Ball Games II Non FEASSA Qualifiers

The Uganda Secondary Schools National Ball Games II (Non FEASSA Qualifiers) kicked off on Monday, 2nd September 2024, at Teso College Aloet and the tournament is set to climax on Friday 6th this month.

Kampala Region finalists, St Janan Luwum Secondary School Kabalagala secured a spot in the quarter finals following their 2-0 victory over Amuria High School at West Wing Playground.

Shafic Kitimbo put Janan Schools into lead with a well taken free kick in the first half of the game before Dickson Baraza tapped I to double.

Janan Schools get a shock in their opening group (A) game when they lose party spoilers, Panyandoli Secondary School by 2-1 score line.

The second match, Janan Schools defeated MM College Wairaka by 2-0 scoreline before registering hard fought wins of 2-1 and 1-0 to last years finalists, Quality High School and Standard High school Ndejje.

On the final group game, Janan needed a must win to advance to quarter finals.

Janan topped group A with Twelve (12) points, followed by Panyadoli Secondary School on Eleven (11) points with last year’s finalists, Quality High School, Standard High School Ndejje, MM College Wairaka and Amuria High School failing to advance to quarter finals.

Janan will face the school, which will finish second in group B. Group B has Amus College School, Standard High School Zzana, Light Secondary School Soroti, Kyamate Secondary School, Kashenyi SS, and Busoga College Mwiri.
