Govt Continues To Squeeze Kyagulanyi, Open Fresh Charges on Nubian Li, Eddie Mutwe And Other 46 Over Illegal Possession of Ammunition
Government through its Security agencies continues to squeeze National Unity Platform Presidential Candidate Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert in the wall with less than seven days to polling day of 14th January 2021.
Last week, security arrested over 100 Kyagulanyi Ssentamu’s campaigning team in Kalangala Island claiming that they were breaching the ministry of Health COVID-19 guidelines and they were transferred to Masaka and detained in different police cells and military barracks.
Yesterday same were released on court bail but the remaining 48 members including, Bobi Wine’s singing partner and close friend, Buken Ali aka Nubian Li and his personal bodyguard Ssebuufu Edward aka Eddie Mutwe were transferred to Makindye Military Barracks.
Though they are civilians, today before Makindye Court Martial charged Nubian Li, Eddie Mutwe, Bobi Young and other 45 detainees with the illegal possession of ammunition and none of their family members nor their lawyers were allowed to see them.
This was confirmed by Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert via his social media platforms.
“And so like that we have come full circle! The dictatorship has arraigned 48 of my campaign team members (including Nubian Li, Eddie Mutwe, Dan Magic, Bobi Young, etc) before the General Court Martial at Makindye and charged them with illegal possession of ammunition! Our lawyers and family members of the comrades were all denied access to the court. The court sat without anyone present and remanded them!
I find it difficult that a man who claims to be a General can be so, so scared of the people to the point of behaving in the most shameful manner! Like we have said repeatedly, we have information that they plan to plant guns, drugs and other materials in homes of comrades so as to arrest them and charge them with such bogus cases.
To you all comrades out there, be strong, be firm! These are simply signs that Museveni is on the way out. God is with us. Just continue to pray for Uganda and do your part to make this change possible!
