FWSL: Kampala Queens Target Win Against Makerere

Kampala Queens Assistant Coach, Seyange Kato, says that the team’s main objective against Makerere University Ladies team on the afternoon of Sunday 2nd, October 2022, is to pick up maximum points and remain unbeaten.
Kampala Queens will be making a short away trip to face She MAK at the Makerere University main ground.
Kampala Queens will surely move full of bouyancy, having collected six (6) points from the two matches so far played, and more so, after knowing that the two serious “competitors” for the trophy, that is, Uganda Martyrs and She Coperates, had their hugely anticipated match ending in a stalemate on the morning of Saturday 1st, October 2022.
While addressing journalists in the pre match press conference held on Saturday afternoon, Coach Kato really sounded positive ahead of their away tie.
“Our target is to get a win against She MAK, which will enable us to move top and collect maximum points as early as possible,” Coach Kato emphasized.
“[In] Our game against She Coperates, we wasted a lot of chances, but the good thing, we managed to win that game,” Coach Kato noted.
Despite having the best strikers in the league, the coach still believes that there is still much to do, since his strikers are so wasteful.
“We have tried our level best [in the market] to improve on the striking line. So we hope and pray for our strikers to be so clinical in as far as goal scoring is concerned,” Coach Kato highlighted.
The Kabojja-based side (Kampala Queens) has scored seven goals this campaign, letting in only one goal, and will hope to build onto the six points they already have to collect more points.
However, She MAK shouldn’t be taken for guaranted since they are defying the odds in each and every game played this season.
Coached by Fred Ndawula, She MAK picked up a vital point against She Corporates, before edging out the Lady Doves to take them to four points earned so far.
She MAK will bank on Daphine Nalubowa, who has so far scored two goals in two matches.
Before the start of the season, many women football fans and followers predicted that the team (She MAK) was going to be relegated because of different factors such as team organisation and preparation, but by the performances being exhibited so far, there are many indicators that the team is going to prove very many people wrong.
The two sides have met fives times previously, with the ‘Palace Queens’ (Kampala Queens) being in the driving seat (winning) in all the five matches.
