FWSL: Kampala Queens Loss Makes News, Lutalo On His First Victory in the League

Kampala Queens FC registered it’s first win of the season under Hamza Lutalo who is new in the women football in Uganda.

The win came away from home at Luzira Prison Grounds, when Margret Kunihira scoring her first goal in 58th minute that stood as a winner against She Maroons.

Hamza Lutalo, who joined Kampala Queens at the start of this season asserted that Kampala Queens is one of the big teams the public expects to win always if they lose a game it makes news than them winning.

“A win means alot to us to my team, Kampala Queens is seen in another picture, if we don’t win, it makes news. ” Said Hamza Lutalo.

Lutalo revealed that he is learning the dynamics of women football players and in at least five games he will be better and in good position on the table.

In three games they have only scored one goal but Hamza says, he is seriously working on that issue and in next games goals will increase.

“As I told you, in three games, there will be a change, I am happy that my girls are doing it better, they are showing that love to win, I am new in this game but in five games our position will change, you will see us in the middle of the table or on top.

I started with defence because if we don’t concede, it means you have a point, now going on striking and in the near future, you will see goals coming. “

The win moved Kampala Queens from relegation zone to 5th position, now with four points in three games.

Kampala Queens’ next game is at home against on form Uganda Martyrs High School WFC.

The other games of match day three, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and Tooro Queens FC shared points following a one all draw at Kawempe Muslim playground, Uganda Martyrs High School WFC came from a goal down to beat Olila High School WFC 2-1, while Saturday games,at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso, Rines SS WFC and She Corporate fire blanks as UCU Lady Cardinals FC humbled defending Champions, Lady Doves FC 5-0.

The league returns on the weekend of 26th and 27th of this month with match day four.
