Kawempe Muslim LFC 2-2 Makerere University WFC
The FUFA Women Super League table leaders, Kawempe Muslim LFC failed to stretch their lead to three points on top following a two all draw against Makerere University WFC.

Yudaya Nakayenga first half brace was cancelled by Sharon Nakatovu and Daphine Nalubowa second half late goals.
The on form Nakayenze handed Kawempe a lead with a far post header in the 35th minute, thanks to Samalie Nakacwa’s well delivered corner kick from the left flank.
Two minutes later, Nakayenze returned with a quick tap in converting from Agnes Nabukenya’s cross again from left flank but her effort was denied by a lower post.
Two minutes into second stanza, Yudaya Nakayenze returned to complete her brace with a curved strike and doubled the hosts’ lead.
It looked done and dusted for the home side to seal their third consecutive win in 2024 and in the 65th minute, Ayub Khalifah and technical team made a double change, replacing skipper, Phiona Nabulime and Kruthum Namutebi with Rhonda Nanziri and Allen Nasaaza.
The double chance looked more impactful to Makerere than Kawempe Muslim, the visitors gained the control of the midfield, guaranteeing Josephine Ndagire, Aisha Namagembe and Jemima Tumwesigye more freedom to take the ball forward.
After realizing that Kawempe midfield weakened, Fred Ndawula added Violet Kalungi in the midfield, replacing her with Jemima Tumwesigye to pille more pressure to Kawempe’s back and this yielded fruits in the 84th minute when Sharon Namatovu scored a consolation with a back heel kick.
Five minutes later, Makerere launched another deadly attack and Samalie Nakacwa fouled Sharon Namatovu in a good position for any good free kick taker near the edge of the box.
In the 89th minute, Daphine Nalubowa converted the free direct into the net to level the matters.
Esther Nangendo, a substitute who came in for Yudaya Nakayenze gotten a chance to reclaim Kawempe’s lead in the added minutes but she failed to make a use of Allen Nasaaza’s cross.
The point gained means Makerere denied Kampala Queens and Kawempe Muslim to have maximum points. They did the same against Kampala Queens, they came from two goals down to salvage a point.
The result left Kawempe on top of the table with 14 points but only a point ahead of Kawempe Queens who are in second place.
The league will return with match day seven on Saturday and Sunday, Kawempe Muslim LFC will be visiting Asubo Ladies FC while Makerere University will be at home welcoming Uganda Martyrs.
