FWSL: Adeke Denies She Maroons to Remand Kawempe, Martyrs Down Doves as Wakiso Hill Piles more Miseries to Asubo

The FUFA Women Super League returned this weekend with three fixtures following a two weeks rest over National team the Crested Cranes engagements on continent.
At Luzira Prison grounds, She Maroons on second consecutive time has failed to secure maximum points at home this season following a barren draw against Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC.
Like they do it at home especially in first half, She Maroons had all it needed to kill of the game in the first stanza, they had the possession, control of the game with most shots on goal against Kawempe but Adeke Juliet stood tall in the goal posts for the Valley Warriors.
Adeke had at least two world class saves in first half denying Lillian Kasuubo and Winnie for Maroons to find the back of the net.
In second stanza, Kawempe also came close to scoring but Agnes Nabukenya, Phionah Nabulime and Allen Nassaazi at certain moments, they squandered the visitors chances.
Agnes Nabukenya, the October nominee in Real Stars Sports Monthly Awards claimed the the pitch structure and nature plus weather has a bit disorganized their playing style.
“This pitch is a bit big compared to ours, at has affected us, been training on dry pitch but it has rained before we played so the pitch was slippery, we couldn’t have the control of the ball but we are hoping to do better in our next game because our target is to be on top.” Says Agnes Nabukenya.
The draw moved Kawempe to seven points in three games while She Maroons moved to five, three games, two draws and one win so far.
Elsewhere, Uganda Martyrs continued with their winning streak, traveled to Masindi and secured three points off Lady Doves, thanks to Rebecca Nandhego only goal that came in the 68th minute of second half.
In three games now, Rogers Nkugwa charges moved to six points, subjected Lady Doves to their first defeat of the season and at home.
Asubo Ladies FC woes continues, they lost their third consecutive game this season, a poor start for them like it was last season when they survived relegation on the final day.
Asubo granted Wakiso Hill their first win of the season, Zaitun Namaganda, Sylvia Namiwanda and Patricia Nayiga were on target for Wakiso while the consolation for Asubo came from Aziza Amulen in the 54th minute.
Wakiso Hill moved to four points on the log, Asubo still on bottom with zero points in three games.
The match day three will climax tomorrow, Sunday when defending Champions, Kampala Queens will be hosting UCU Lady Cardinals and Rines SS WFC will be facing off with Makerere University WFC.
