Rines Ladies FC vs Tooro Queens- 3pm

Masindi based side, Lady Doves hoping to pick up maximum points on Sunday against league newbies, She Maroons as the season resumes in a normal format after two years of lockdown.

Lady Doves ,the defending champions edged UCU Lady Cardinals last year by 2-1 to win first ever trophy in the clubs history in a tourney format that was hosted at FUFA Technical Center Njeru thanks to Fazila Ikwaput and Elizabeth Nakigozi who scored for the team and Sandra Kisakye who scored the only goal for the Cardinals.

The team will still bank on the experienced players like Fazila Ikwaput ,Daisy Nakaziro and Ricticia Nabbosa who helped the team obtain the 3rd position after beating Simba Queens from Tanzania in zonal African Champions league qualifiers.

Nakigozi Elizabeth,Fatuma Nakasumba,Madam Christine and Zakaria Nankya are other players that left the club.

On other side ,she Maroons will have to tighten their belts being that they are facing one of the best sides in the league .

Alex Sida coached side qualifed to FUFA Women Super league after outclassing Rines fc by 1-0 ,which was scored by Mercy Namwemba .She managed to lead the goal scoring list .

This will be the first time ,the two team facing off .

Besides being the newbies in the league ,the she Maroons Coach believes they have had enough preparation to competite strongly in the league

“We have prepared very well and the girls are highly motivated for the game against Lady Doves” Alex said

“We really respect them the fact that they are defending champions.As She MAROONS FC,we are coming to play our game,making it better every day and also with a purpose of winning.So we need to tell the girls to concentrate more.”

She Maroons will however miss some players due to injuries ,the list that includes Sarah ,Peace and Winnie

The team added players like Lilian , Susan, Bridget and Moreen to tighten the team’s squard after losing some of their best players like Nantongo Diana and Naggayi Joan who was the MVP of the league.
