FUFA Women’s Super League: Group B Calculations, Who has Better Chances to Go Through

Today on Thursday, 29, 2021 is a resting day at Njeru but the fact is, the brains are not at rest since the calculations are already haunting four of the five teams in camp.

None of the five have confirmed it’s qualification out of Group after day three of action.

The team that has topped the group since day one (Lady Doves FC) may find itself in a situation living on Mercy of others. 

For starters, there are five clubs in Group B; UCU Lady Cardinals, Olila WFC, Lady Doves FC, Isra Soccer Academy WFC and She Corporate FC two of them are remaining with one game to finalize with group stage games (Lady Doves and Olila WFC).

According to current table standings, Lady Doves FC tops the group with seven points in three games, Olila WFC second with four points in three games too, UCU Lady Cardinals third while She Corporate in fourth and Isra lead from the bottom with zero points in two games.

Where are the calculations originate from and who has upper advantage to make it out of the group?

With a mere look at the table, you see that Masindi based side, Lady Doves FC have an upper advantage to make it out of the group, but they are at great risk, any blunder made in their last fixture can water down the performance they displayed in previous games.

Lady Doves FC;

Lady Doves remain with one fixture which is against She Corporate FC who also believe, a win against Doves brighten their future. A loss for Doves draw the at the edge of staying in Group at least 95% but a win gives them automatic qualification and a draw in the game put them to eight points, will be with a chance of going as second placed side that is if UCU win all it’s two games.

UCU Lady Cardinals;

Having a complicated life is of their own making but they still have a big chance to make it out of the group, simple calculation for the Cardinals, win your last two games, go to nine points.

However, Olila in it’s three games, proved to be a hard side to beat, the only team that managed to get a point off Lady Doves. 

UCU Lady Cardinals tomorrow will be playing against Isra, an easy win for them, the hurdle will be in their Saturday fixture which is against Olila who also madly need the three points in that fixture.

She Corporate FC

The Sharks to survive, they need to beat Lady Doves FC on Friday, it the only important fixture they have if they are to handle their own matters minus the help other fixtures’ results.

But if they loss against Lady Doves FC, they will call it a season, the last fixture would be for positions unless UCU draw against Olila and lose against Isra, something far from possibility.

Olila WFC

This Soroti based side is a surprise package, few thought that by this time, Olila would be still in calculations of qualifying. They have four points on the log, a win against UCU Lady Cardinals and a loss for She Corporate against Lady Doves gives them a second position on the log after group stage fixtures.

Isra Soccer Academy WFC is a side to give others points in this tournament.

But Lady Doves FC and UCU Lady Cardinals each still have 60% chances to go through.
