SC Villa Football Club is primed to kick off the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with momentum as they aim to secure silverware in the FUFA Super Eight.
The team will face National Enterprise Cooperation (NEC) in a crucial match scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at FUFA Kadiba, starting at 7:00 PM under the floodlights.
The Joggos are coming off an impressive comeback against BUL FC, having fought back from a 1-0 deficit to level the game at 1-1. The match then went to penalties after 90 minutes, where SC Villa emerged victorious, converting five penalties to BUL’s four.

Despite going behind early in the first half to a goal by Hilary Onek, SC Villa showed great resilience. They rallied in the second half, pressing high and forcing BUL into defensive mistakes. The equalizer came from substitute Najib Yiga, who capitalized on a defensive error to level the score.
In the penalty shootout, Villa’s clinical finishing sealed their victory, keeping their hopes alive for another trophy.
Meanwhile, BUL FC will now face Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) in the battle for third place on Wednesday at FUFA Kadiba.
URA was eliminated by NEC after a goalless draw, which was decided by a penalty shootout at MTN Omondi Stadium.
