Fresh Dairy Games: Hockey Trophies in Kakungulu Memorial Cabin

Kakungulu Memorial defeated Bweranyangi Girls and Ntare School to lift the trophies for girls and boys in Hockey category.
In the finals played on Saturday 4 May at Ndejje Secondary School on a muddy ground, Kakungulu Memorial beat Ntare School 2-0 with goals from Innocent Tumukunde and William Ojok in the second half of the game.
Last year, Ntare School defeated Kakungulu Memorial in the final played in Mbarara though Kakungulu went on to over turn the odds by winning East Africa trophy.
In Girls category, Kakungulu Memorial again shined after edging Bweranyangi Girls in the final for the fourth consecutive time.
National team invited Jolly Roy Alimo opened the score in first half, Janet Nakato added the second earlier in the Second half, but Edith Turamyimana pulled a goal back before Paris Darlene found the third for Kakungulu Memorial, Ofiriya Kemigisha minimized Kakungulu’s lead from 3-1 to 3-2 and that was the final score.
Winners will be joined by other three finalists per gender to represent Uganda at FEASSA games which will be hosted in mid August in Uganda at Bukedea Comprehensive and Amus College in Bukedea.
