Fortebet Real Stars Monthly Awards: On fire Hadija Nandago Wins It at Fulltime, Chepetegi Crowned as Super Real Star
The on fire Under twenty women’s national football team forward, Hadija Nandago aka Maama Lususu unexpectedly ended the year on a high note.
Arguably the best number ten currently in the country, Hadija Nandago crowned as the winner of the December accolade of the Fortebet Real Stars Monthly Awards, to lift her maiden award in life, the Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC forward beat off competition from old men in Express FC’s Eric Kambale who also by whisker failed to win the 2021 Airtel FUFA Awards and Ceaser Loki Manzoki of Vipers Sports Club.
The 16-year old Hadija Nandago had a good final quarter of the year, scoring six goals and helping her teammates to score in the last eight national team matches, could not hide her excitement for winning the first award in her life time.
“I can say, I am so excited, this is my first time to win any award since I started playing football” Said Hadija Nandago while addressing media at the ceremony held at The Spice Junction Restaurant in Kololo.
“I thank my coaches, teammates, because I couldn’t win this minus them,. I thank Real Stars Sports Agency for the award and I am to work hard to see that I win more.” She added.
On the same day, the Real Stars Sports Agency in conjunction with their partners in Fortebet Uganda, Canaan Investments and Jude Color Solutions awarded record breaker and Maker, Joshua Chepetegi with Super Star Accolade, this Olympic gold medalist, won three gongs this year, the months of February, August and September, he beat golfer Irene Nakalembe and motorsport Crew of Yasin Nasser and Ali Katumba.
The end of the year ceremony was graced by Commissioner Physical Education of ministry of Education and Sports, Rev. Canon Duncans Mugumya.
