Former Nakifuma County MP Aspirant, Sulaiman Kiwanuka Hosts Iftar Dinner For Moslems

The 2021 Nakifuma County Member of Parliament aspirant, Sulaiman Kiwanuka hosted Iftar Dinner to all Moslems in the county.

The Eid al-fitr for this year is expected to be celebrated on either Wednesday or Thursday this week.

A number of celebrated politicians, Islamic leaders and tycoons in the country are hosting Iftar dinners to Moslems and the most recent one was hosted by National Unity Platform Principal, Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert at his home in Magere.

In the same line, the Sparta FC Director, Sulaiman Kiwanuka hosted Moslems in Nakifuma for a dinner yesterday at his home in Nakifuma County, Mukono District.

While speaking to reports after the dinner, Kiwanuka revealed why he did such a religious act and yet he lost the elections in the same area.

First of all I want to thank Moslems for fasting in this holy Month of Ramadhan, we are almost ending it.

Today we are in what we named General Iftar, I and my team we decided to celebrate this day with all Moslems and people regardless of whether they elected me or not, because my aim to come as MP was to continue helping people but I didn’t go through but that can’t stop me from continue helping the Constituency people because that is my nature.” Kiwanuka stated.

Kiwanuka lost the the election, to now the elected MP of the County, Fred Ssimbwa who had the NUP ticket.

The former Aspirant also advised the Nakifuma residents to get back to work because the election period is over and the life has to go on.

The advise I can give people is that let’s get back to work, the election period is over,we are now in rainy season, let people get back to their gardens, we the Nakifuma people are agriculturalists.”

Kiwanuka also revealed that he has helped in the construction of Mosques in the region and through his foundation, Kiwanuka Foundation, he has helped many people to start businesses, and helping the needy.

“I am not doing this because of this month of Ramadhan, all along we have been giving a hand in mosques constructions, helping people to start up their own businesses, helping the needy, the grands.

Helping people is not all about having huge sums of money but the heart of helping others to stand.” Kiwanuka.
